Chad Aschtgen, ND, FABNO

Chad Aschtgen, ND, FABNO

Dr. Chad Aschtgen is a board-certified naturopathic oncologist (FABNO) and the founder of Seattle Integrative Oncology, caring for patients in Seattle, Everett, and Olympia.

Since earning his Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University, Dr. Aschtgen has helped thousands of people facing cancer. He opened Seattle Integrative Oncology in 2008 and built it into the region’s premier naturopathic oncology clinic — now Providence’s exclusive regional partner in naturopathic oncology, home to the only hospital-based integrative cancer treatment program and the only naturopathic oncology residency in Washington State.

Dr. Aschtgen was a co-investigator on a National Institutes of Health (NIH)-sponsored study of integrative oncology outcomes in breast cancer patients. Appointed by Governor Jay Inslee, he serves as chair of the Washington State Department of Health Board of Naturopathy, and has served on the Board of Examiners for the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology. A frequent lecturer, he has spoken for the American Cancer Society, Swedish Cancer Institute, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, the Providence Regional Cancer Partnership, and more.

Dr. Aschtgen works closely with patients and their oncologists — using nutrition, vitamins, herbal and mineral therapies to build custom plans that support treatment, manage symptoms, and help patients reach their best health. Whether newly diagnosed, in active treatment, or in long-term survivorship, patients have a trusted resource in Dr. Aschtgen.
